What we do

The object of the Trust is the promotion of Scouting among young people with Special Needs in the six Counties of Greater London.

We carry out this out by providing funding in the form of grants to:

  • support an individual with special needs in Scouting
  • support the training of adult leaders in the provision and management of Scouting for those with special needs
  • adapt buildings or facilities to improve the provision of Scouting for those with special needs
  • support the provision of camps or other activities, both indoor and outdoor, for Scouts with special needs.

Over the past 5 years we have funded the annual Agoonoree Camp, provided or improved facilities at 1st Hook Scout Group; 4th Worcester Park Scout Group; Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts Headquarters, Fairmead and Southwark District Camp Sites, provided transport for young people to and from meetings of the 24th Tottenham Scout Group,  assisted with camp costs for the 15th Wallington Scouts and the provision of a powered wheelchair for a leader in Erith.
